Located on the banks of the Nile in Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt, the Sohag National Museum occupies a 950 m² site with a total built-up area of 6,500 m². The structure consists of a basement and a ground floor, designed to house six exhibition halls and nearly one thousand artifacts. Its architectural design maximizes the advantage of its Nile-side location, offering natural light, ventilation, and scenic views that connect the museum to its surrounding landscape.
