Located on the banks of the Nile in Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt, the Sohag National Museum occupies a 950 m² site with a total built-up area of 6,500 m². The structure consists of a basement and a ground floor, designed to house six exhibition halls and nearly one thousand artifacts. Its architectural design maximizes the advantage of its Nile-side location, offering natural light, ventilation, and scenic views that connect the museum to its surrounding landscape. The building combines durability, safety, and modern functionality, making it not only a cultural landmark but also an engineering achievement that reflects Sohag’s role as a gateway to Upper Egypt’s heritage.
